THINGS TO DO IN CORNWALL RECOMMENDED BY ELEMENTS OF CORNWALL

We are very certain this list could be longer but this is a great starting point!

1. WALK OR BOAT TO ST MICHAEL’S MOUNT

St Michael’s Mount is a great place to visit. Hop on a boat – or walk across the causeway during low tide – to explore a family home full of history.

2. SEE THE SEALS AT GODREVY

This is a great free activity and is great for kids and adults! Not only do you get to see seals, but also Godrevy Lighthouse. This is a great place for a short walk and you can also take a picnic and enjoy the views.

3. EAT A PASTY OR SOME BANG BANG CHICKEN

Bang bang chicken? This has become a much bigger thing all over the UK, but when I was a child I would often go to a Chinese up country and wonder why they didn't serve bang bang chicken (turns out it was just in Cornwall). As for a pasty I'm pretty sure most people know that Cornwall is famous for them! But make sure to get one and it's a great option if you're about to have a long car journey.

4. HAVE SOME FRESH SEAFOOD

It might be obvious that the seafood is going to be pretty good with our huge coastline, but hopefully this makes it clear how amazing it really is! Some places we love? Gnarly Food Ltd do the best Scallops, The Colonial Tolcarne Beach or Argoe ( We have visited these recently but there are lots more!).

5. WALK A SECTION OF THE SOUTH WEST COAST PATH

There are so many amazing walks and we recommend every walk! However, we do have a current favourite and that's the walk from St.Ives to the Tinners pub at Zennor. Not fancy a drink? Then you can visit Moomaid for a delicious Ice cream. Always be mindful on the coastal paths as nature can sometimes take out some of the coastal path and look out for caution signs.

6. GO SURFING

Cornwall is surrounded by coastline so you can't not go surfing! Always make sure to go to a lifeguarded beach and if you haven't surfed before head to Fistral Beach Surf School for a lesson!

7. VISIT THE MINACK THEATRE

Not only can you enjoy watching a great play but you can also take in the stunning scenery you're surrounded by. We love to take a picnic ( some blankets and maybe a pillow for the seat) and look out for some wildlife like basking sharks, dolphins or tuna.

8. BOOK A SPA DAY

Why not treat yourself and enjoy the beautiful coastal scenes. Our recent favourites to visit? Carbis Bay Hotel & The Headland.

9. GET OUT ON THE WATER

Have you ever been sailing? Fishing or just on a boat? Well, now is your time as Cornwall has all this to offer! Want to do something completely different? We love to go and visit Camel Ski in Rock for some wake surfing!

10. TRY OUT THE RANGE OF LOCAL ALCOHOL (Over 18's)

You have probably heard of Tarquins - if not then they offer Gin workshops which we have had the pleasure of attending and can say its a must! However, we do have a new favourite drink, which is a Dark & Stormy ( contains rum ), this is why we recommend you try these new rums that have just dropped - Saint Ives Island Rum & Crusty Juggler Rum UK.
